He can be a real challenge to take down, but it IS possible to kill him and he's worth no less than experience. I tried many different attacks on him, and found that the way to destroy this character is to use a combination of archery and certain spells. Melee attacks were ineffective, as was fireball, frost wands, lightning, flame strike, and acid. He also casts buffs that further protect him from magic, but if you act fast, an early barrage of magical attacks and projectiles can catch him with his pants down.
